Opening Sequence of film. (Prezi)
Hi my name is Jake.This is my blog for AS media. I'm a student who takes Media, History, Philosophy and Citizenship.This blog will feature articles on Films, directors, film production companies, film opening sequences and in sites on genres. I choose Media as i've always loved films, music and games and what a real incite into it. I've always wanted to do filming too and see if i'm any good at it. I hope you enjoy my blog, Jake :)

It is a really good presentation and the sound in the background is a good idea as it gives us an idea of what the genre of the film is. The use of pictures for the locations is really good and gave us a really good idea of the setting. Your film idea is really good and in the presentation you have put a lot of thought into the film and characters, lighting and camera work.The only thing that would be a risk is Joe's character playing a young hitman yet he is in a suit where it looks like he is trying to look older. But over all it is a really good film idea.
ReplyDeleteGood range of multimedia elements eg sound etc. Excellent attention to detail. I am concerned that your idea centres around making Joe believable as a hitman. He is 17. How will that be believable? I think if I saw him with a gun in a shop I would not assume hitman I would assume that he was robbing the shop. Hitmen are normally aged 30 and over because they have life experience, strength, contacts in the criminal world, are trusted by criminals etc.. I am not sure what criminal would hire a 17 year old as a hit man, or how he would have gotten into this type of career at such a young age. I would have a think about this as casting young people in roles like this can often end up being the thing that ruins a student opening as it is hard to look past that and appreciate the quality in the rest of the work.
ReplyDeleteA lot of thought has gone into the planning of the location and camera shots. To improve the only things i would suggest is that you add some photos of the characters in the shop, show the lighting studies and any editing effects you want to improve include also link your script maybe - a sample. Also show the make-up studies. Overall its an amazing idea and sounds like it will be very successful.
ReplyDeleteThe presentation is really good. I like how you had pictures of the location so we knew what the place would look like, but I would say add more pictures of the characters so we can get a proper idea of what their costumes will look like. But overall a very good idea.
